The 100% free eBay auction script!
TWP Auctions is a free script to display eBay Partner Network affiliate auctions on your Wordpress or PHP powered website. TWP Auctions can display auctions from all over the world using country codes (us, au, uk, etc…). It uses “nofollow” on all outbound links, and includes a blank “onmouseover” function that hides the rover link in the user’s status bar.

Features:

  • eBay Partner Network compatible
  • Compatible with Wordpress
  • Can be set to specific countries using country codes (au, uk, etc…)
  • XHTML valid (kinda)
  • All links are “nofollow”
  • Blank mouseover text to hide rover links in user’s status bar
  • 100% free!

Installation instructions

Note for Wordpress users:
Before you install TWP Auctions, you’ll need to install the Exec-PHP plugin for Wordpress. Before you go any further, make sure Exec-PHP is working by making a test post, e.g. <?php echo "hello world"; ?>. If you can’t get it to work, check out the documentation at the Exec-PHP website.

1. Download and install TWP Auctions
Download TWP Auctions. Extract and upload the files (twpauctions.php and lastRSS.php) to the root directory of your website or Wordpress blog.

2. Add auctions to a page or Wordpress post
Now make a new page or Wordpress post (do NOT use the visual editor!), and simply paste the following code where you want the auctions to appear. You’ll need to enter your own eBay Partner Network Campaign ID, Custom ID (optional), and keyword. The display value simply sets the number of auction items that are listed (default is 3). You can also set the country code for non US countries - see the country_code.txt file in the zip for more information.

<?php
$epn_campaign_id = "000000"; // EPN campaign id
$customid = "bmw"; // EPN custom id (optional)
$keyword = "BMW M3"; // put your keyword here
$display = "3"; // how many items to display
$country = "uk"; // see country_codes.txt for info
include "twpauctions.php";
?>

That’s it!

Other stuff…
To speed things up, you can cache the results if you want - this just means that the script will only fetch new auction results if the old feed has expired. Just create a directory called ‘cache’ in same directory as the twpauction.php file. You can tweak the cache directory and cache times in twpauctions.php if you want.

*Big thanks to Vojtech Semecky for creating lastRSS!
